Report a barrier

If you encounter anything on this site that is difficult to use, hard to read, or impossible to access with your assistive technology, we want to hear from you. Tell us what happened and we'll fix it as quickly as we can.

Email help@poppinshq.com

Prefer not to use the pre-filled email? Write to help@poppinshq.com and include the page, what went wrong, and the device or assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge reports within 2 business days.

Our commitment

Poppins is a tool for busy families, and that has to include families whose members have disabilities. We are committed to making our website and product usable by as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology they use to browse the web.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

Our public marketing pages are partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. "Partially conformant" means that most of the content meets the standard, but some parts may not yet fully conform. We are actively working to close the remaining gaps.

What we've done

Measures we have taken to make Poppins more accessible include:

  • A "Skip to content" link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
  • Clear, visible keyboard focus indicators on links, buttons, and controls.
  • Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) so assistive technology can navigate the page structure.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative icons hidden from screen readers so they don't add noise.
  • A mobile navigation menu that is fully operable by keyboard and announces its expanded or collapsed state.
  • Colour contrast that targets the WCAG AA ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text.
  • Respect for the "reduce motion" operating-system setting, which disables non-essential animation.
  • Data tables with proper header associations.

Compatibility

Poppins is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari) and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, and TalkBack, as well as browser zoom and keyboard-only navigation. The site is not designed to support Internet Explorer.

Known limitations

Despite our best efforts, some limitations remain. We are aware of, and working on, the following:

  • Some illustrative product mock-ups are presented visually and convey information primarily through layout; the surrounding text describes their purpose.
  • A small number of decorative gradient and animation effects are cosmetic only and carry no information.
  • Third-party or embedded content (for example, externally linked resources) may not always meet the same standard; we choose partners with accessibility in mind where we can.

If you find a barrier that isn't listed here, please tell us using the details above so we can add it to our backlog and fix it.

How we test

We assess accessibility through a combination of automated checks, manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and code review against the WCAG 2.1 AA success criteria as part of our development process. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing effort rather than a one-off project.

Feedback and enforcement

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Poppins. If you contact us about a barrier, please give us the web address (URL) of the page, a description of the problem, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. This helps us reproduce and resolve the issue quickly. You can reach us at help@poppinshq.com.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may have additional rights under the accessibility and disability laws that apply in your country or region.
