Frequently asked questions
What counts as a clash?
Two short commitments, under three hours, for two different children, that overlap and start within 45 minutes of each other. A long block like school, nursery or a work day is somewhere a person already is rather than somewhere anybody has to get them to, so it never triggers a warning.
What happens when I ask somebody to cover?
The event is assigned to them as well as whoever was already on it, added rather than replaced, because the other parent may still be going - and they're notified. Nobody has to have a conversation about which clash you meant.
Who does Poppins offer as cover?
Only adults in the family with nothing in the diary at that moment, and never the person asking. Offering to ask yourself to cover for yourself is not a suggestion.
